Imagen
¿One of all the countries I would like to visit? For sure Japan it’s one of the countries that I would really like to go with my   group of friends, specifically to Tokyo city, like the bunch of friks we are, I   am sure we would spend a lot of money on streets food places, anime attractions, and video games stores, which takes me to the first place we cannot skip if we were there, the “ Akihabara ” is one of the most famous places in Tokyo, for involved   everything related to electronic devices, video games, anime figures and manga’s.   (So basically we would be obsessed and happy …obsessively happy!!)   But we are not just dumbs slaves of the capitalism. No, also we are very interested in the culture of this part of the world, so we absolutely would go the oldest temples in the city the “ Sensoji ” temple, an old peace of japan architecture that stands out for the history, shrines, bells, doors, statues and gardens, also when we were tiered and w...

POST 8: A SUBJECT YOU ENJOY STUDYING

Imagen
The subject I   enjoy since High School until university is drawing. In school it was fun at first, my teacher showed us how to position the hand to draw more “comfortably”. How to draw faces and how to harmonize the qualities of each model. We were also taught how to draw without erasing a line. My teacher literally took my eraser and threw it out of the room. Of course next class none of us took one again. His work was preparing us for college level and he did quite a good job. Later at university I remember the exercises turn into something boring and repetative It wasn´t something like, “draw whatever you want and be expressive!”,noup,   not even in school. It was all about the technique, a straight stroke, the visual noise of the stroke width, and all this by hand. Once I was able to control that I started with the perspective and proportional measuring of objects.   ¿did you know that the width of a line can show the material of the object you are drawing...

POST 7: HOW CAN YOUR MAJOR MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE?

Imagen
Well as a visual art student, I immediately thought about how art has been involved along the entire human history, perhaps not always in a good way, but it has been present. For example in the time of the great empires and kingdoms, the artist´s work was entirely linked to making esthetically beautiful pieces of art for an aristocrat public in order to subsist as it’s not a secret that the work of an artist has always been badly paid. However, at the same time, thanks to historical art records we can observe that there was also a shift towards focusing on the social paradigm. Now that we can analyze the previous records of all these artists in their time, we can see that some of them where conscious of their position in society, of their privileges or of the necessities they possessed. Most of them found the way to implant those thoughts in their work, and create a transgressive political type of art that basically shows how human discord tends to repeat over and over again in...

POST 5 : A PHOTO AND A STORY

Imagen
Hello there, to begin I would like to say that I realize that sense I started writing these blogs, I fall in the fact that I   am a very emotional person when It comes to seeking   inspiration, but any way I hope you don’t mind to read my cloying verses. This is the picture I choose.   There is my brother, my mom, my dad and me, as you can see my father is graving a paper where you can read “don’t kill the whales” and that’s because this picture was taken for the campaign of green peace in 2006, when the Korean government was officially accused responsible for illegal whaling. Sure in that time I had no clue of what was the real  meaning of that picture, I was just a five year old girl and I simply had fun posing in front of the camera, there’s at least 2 more photos beside these one and in all of them you can find me posing in several different points inside the frame. And yes, now here is the emotional part of these writing… the reason of why I like th...
