POST 2 : WHY DID I CHOOSE MY MAJOR
The first thing I remember wanting to do as a child was be a translator, like my mother, and I remember telling her. The first thing she did was grab me by the shoulders and say, “No, you don’t want that, and I don’t want you to stay behind a desk the rest of your life, you see my love I don’t think you belong there”. That was when I started thinking about what I like and what I would be good at. When I was in elementary school one day the teacher gave us a survey to fill out. It was basically a paper full of questions about how we see ourselves in the future. Back then I remember answering that I wanted to be a singer and travel to Egypt on an air balloon, I also made a drawing of myself, diving in the sea, because I was really into Jacques Cousteau.
